Executive Summary

Muhammad Imran qualified as a chartered accountant in 2010, having completed his training with BDO Ebrahim & Co. Chartered Accountants, Lahore (a member firm of BDO International). He has over ten years of experience in the audit and special advisory services for various sectors.

Imran joined BDO Ebrahim & Co. in 2009 as Assistant Manager Audit & Specialist Advisory Services after completing his mandatory training and subsequently promoted as Manager Audit and Assurance. He has been leading assurance and advisory teams in several client sectors including financial services, manufacturing, utility, telecommunication, petroleum, textile and services sector including public listed and public sector companies. He has considerable experience in conducting Audits and Financial Reviews of Non- Profit Organizations including several international NGO’s.  He has extensive experience in the application of both US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Advisory services experience includes developing internal control manuals, internal audits and other risk advisory services for several leading clients in Pakistan. He was promoted to Senior Manager in 2012 and a Partner in 2015 in the Audit and Specialist Advisory Services practice area.

He was seconded to BDO Cayman Islands Office for six months (November, 2013 to May 2014) as a Manager Audit. His experience included, onshore, offshore hedge funds including master-feeder structure, US GAAP and IFRS reporting. He has dealt with multinational clients all over the world and BDO network firms particularly, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, British Version of Islands, Bermuda and Singapore.  He was also seconded to BDO LLP Singapore Office for three months.

Imran plays an active role in the training and development of the Firm’s professional staff. Imran also participates at the Institute of Chartered Accountant in the capacity of a Committee Member on the Accounting Standard Committee.
