Abdul Qadeer

Executive Summary

Abdul Qadeer qualified as a chartered accountant in 1985 from Taseer Hadi Khalid & Co., Chartered Accountants, Rawalpindi, a member firm of KPMG International. He was a partner in Coopers & Lybrand, Chartered Accountants and S. M. Masood & Co., Chartered Accountants, before registration of his own proprietorship firm, Abdul Qadeer & Co. This firm merged with Ebrahim & Co. (now BDO Ebrahim & Co.) on July 01, 2006 at which time Abdul Qadeer become a partner in the merged firm.

During his association with Coopers & Lybrand he attended six weeks training course in London, U.K carried out by Coopers & Lybrand on Risk Management and Computerized Auditing.

He has been responsible for undertaking audit and consultancy assignments both in industry and service sector, and has been involved for over 18 years in the field of audit, taxation and business advisory services.

Abdul Qadeer has also conducted valuation studies for Privatization Commission and Government of Pakistan for privatization of Government Industrial Units.

He was an elected member of Northern Committee for the period 1989-1997. He was also Chairman of Northern Regional Committee, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan from 1994-95 to 1995-96. He remained member of other committees of the ICAP.
