Qasim Causer

Executive Summary

Qasim Causer qualified in 1977 in the United Kingdom and joined Ernst & Young in London. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.

Qasim has represented BDO Ebrahim & Co. at several BDO International training events and conferences over the past 30 years and is the Firm’s International Liasion Partner and Managing Partner. In the capacity of Managing Partner he leads the firm’s Executive Committee.

In his 30 years of experience in practice, he has advised a wide range of clients ranging from financial institutions to media companies and manufacturing entities to not for profit entities. His depth of knowledge across all practice areas involving audit and accounting, tax and compliance areas are particularly attractive to clients seeking a holistic advice.

He has served on various committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan including the Quality Control Review Committee, Accounting and Auditing Standards Committee, Professional Standards and Technical Advisory Committee and the Banking Committee. He has also been an advisor to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan on standard setting in the country. He is presently the joint auditor of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
